The Bentley Condominium Water Heater Upgrade
CLIFTON PARK, NEW YORK
VALUE DELIVERED
We successfully managed a 55+ condominium community water heater upgrade project in stages. By leaving one existing heater in place while installing and servicing their new heaters, we ensured domestic hot water remained on-line with only minimal interruption while the work was being performed.
CLIENT OBJECTIVES
The Bentley Condominium Association needed to replace four aging water heaters to help provide more efficiency and reliability than their current gas-fired water heaters.
PROJECT SOLUTIONS
For this large condominium building’s hot water heater upgrade, we strategized installation of four new indirect tanks in stages. Our goal was to keep hot water available during the entire project, so we left one existing gas-fired water heater in place while installing the first two new indirect tanks and putting them into service.
Once this first stage was complete, we were able to remove the one remaining old water heater and install the last two indirect tanks. As a finishing touch on this project, we installed two new mixing valves. Our solution included:
- Removal and demo of four existing gas-fired water heaters
- Installation and testing of four new stainless steel indirect tanks
- Installation of two new mixing valves
