The Best Places to Work in Connecticut survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the state, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The program recognizes 25 companies categorized into two groups: 18 small/medium-sized companies (15-199 employees) and 7 large-sized companies (more than 200 employees).

There is a two-part process used to determine the companies awarded the recognition of Best Places to Work in Connecticut.
