Steven Dumas came to New England Mechanical Services as a Service Sales Engineer in 1998, and was responsible for establishing operations in Rhode Island. In August, 2001, Mr. Dumas was promoted to Rhode Island Branch Manager. His responsibilities include the oversight of more than 1.5 million square feet of service management accounts; sales and financial management of the Rhode Island profit center; recruitment; supervision and training of field employees; engineering; pricing and implementation of commercial HVAC systems; plumbing and electrical services projects; correspondence; and customer service.
Prior to his employment with New England Mechanical Services, Mr. Dumas held a technical position with Environmental systems. Before that, he was a manager and estimator/designer at his father's 30-year-old HVAC business.
HVAC Services Expertise
Steven has over 22 years of experience in the HVAC Industry and has pursued career advancement through attending the continuing business education program at both Rhode Island College and Bryant College. He recently completed a two-year, in-house Management Development Curriculum course conducted by EMCOR Facilities Services.
Steven holds an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Refrigeration Certification, a Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license (tonnage unlimited), and a Rhode Island Contractor Master Refrigeration license (tonnage unlimited).
Steven is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He is an active member of the RI Chapter of Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA). He holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master license; and as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary lectures on boating safety, and leads Captain Preparation courses.
The Personal Side
Steven is Congregational President of St. Matthew-Trinity Lutheran Church (Pawtucket, RI) which hosts a food bank and sponsors many other community outreach programs.
