Dana Finnegan is President of New England Mechanical Services, Inc. His responsibilities include development and implementation of management operating initiatives as well as supervision of the company's nine profit centers. These include The Hartford, Vernon, New London, Fairfield County, MA, and RI offices as well as the Construction, Automation, and Electrical Groups.

 

Dana joined NEMSI in 1986 as the Vice President and General Manager of the Vernon Service group, following a nine-year career with Honeywell, Inc. He was assigned to Honeywell's Hartford branch office, where he quickly rose from an entry-level salesman to the position of Building Services Sales Manager. During his tenure at Honeywell, he held virtually all Business Services Sales position, developing comprehensive expertise in the Building Services Market. In 1998 Mr. Finnegan was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

 

Expertise
Dana's industry activities include serving as the Technical Education Coordinator for the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and as an instructor for both BOMA and Capital Community College in Hartford, CT. He is also a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), and the Connecticut Heating and Cooling Contractors Association (CHCCA).

 

Dana holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Central Connecticut State University and has pursued graduate-level studies at Fairfield University. He has also taken numerous courses in building automation systems, temperature controls, building mechanical systems, business management, and marketing.

 

The Personal Side
Active in the Hebron, CT Youth Baseball and Soccer programs, Mr. Finnegan is president of the Hebron Soccer Association, directs the recreational program, and coaches a team. He also co-founded the Mohegan Land Trust.
