Paul C. Gray
Senior Vice President
Paul Gray is Senior Vice President of NEMSI’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Advanced Building Tech-nologies Groups. He has overall responsibility for all sales, estimating, project management, engineering, fabrication, field operations, and training associated with those groups.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine. His career in the mechanical contracting business started in 1971 as a project manager at the Morris A. Fierberg Company. In 1978, Paul went to work for the Wetherell Corporation. In 1983, he was a participant in the formation of Freedom Mechanical and Electrical, Inc. and served as president of the company until 1989 when it closed after the untimely death of its owner. Paul then took a position as Vice President of Operations at Janazzo Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. where he worked until joining New England Mechanical Services, Inc. in 1995. Paul has over 43 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry. He holds HVAC, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, and Fire Protection contractor’s licenses from the State of Connecticut, and a Sheet Metal Masters License in the State of Massachusetts.
Paul is the founding Chairman for the Construction Education Center, Inc. (2006 - 2009) and continues as a member of the board today. He is a past member of the Advisory Board for the Construction Management Program at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU); he has served a number of years on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and was President of the Association in 1995. In January 2003, Paul received Connecticut ABC’s prestigious “Construction Industry Leader” award. In the past, he has been active within the Construction Institute of the University of Hartford and has served on both the Board of Advisors and the Board of Directors.
The Personal Side
Paul is an accomplished woodworker and genealogical researcher.
